We FINALLY ate at Via Napoli! We experienced fantastic pizza at Disney! We’re even surprised that it took us this long to get here, but it was definitely worth the wait. We even ordered a pitcher of Sangria, which was quite tasty and refreshing.
Since we would be sharing a pizza, we decided to get an appetizer as well. Matt was interested in the Prosciutto e Melone, while I was interested in the Salami e Provolone. Matt won out because he was in the mood for some Prosciutto (though he did say the provolone option sounded good). I agreed so we placed the order. This is what $8 worth of prosciutto and cantaloupe looks like:
We looked at the plate. Then each other. Then the plate. Then each other. We were a bit speechless; in fact, we chuckled a little. Then Matt finally says, “I don’t even care for cantaloupe.” “Well,” I replied, “You’re going to now.” We each grabbed a wedge of the fruit and split the prosciutto. It was an interesting combination to say the least. I will admit that the prosciutto itself was very good and virtually melted in my mouth, but I will not be ordering this again. If we are in the mood for prosciutto, ordering it as a topping on a pizza may be the way to go.
We had decided on the Piccante signature pizza which has spicy Italian sausage. We were so glad we did! It was fantastic. The crust was expertly cooked, the sauce the amazing, the cheese was perfect, and the sausage was delicious. Now onto the pictures!
We really enjoyed the pizza and cannot wait to go back. I have heard mixed reviews regarding the price for the pizza (the Piccante was $18 for an “Individual”). Some guests are happy with the quality of the small, mass produced pies served a la Pizza Planet for around $8, but I am not. I will pay for a quality pizza, and had we each ordered our own, I could have easily made two meals out of it.
I am so happy that Via Napoli is part of World Showcase, and I can see myself visiting it often. Now if only they would sell the pizza served inside at the “to-go” window instead of the thicker Sicilian style!

Via Napoli was one of the highlights for us as well, I’m glad you enjoyed it. We did not have the pizza however (except from the take out window and it wasnt the best), but the meals we did have were superb!
I had the pizza from the take out window back in late December when it was open for the holidays. It was okay, but nothing I would go out of my way to order. Especially if I could get a table inside!
