Over the weekend, Matt and I headed down to Vero Beach. We had a few lunch options, but decided to give Mulligan’s a try. They feature ocean views and have a popular patio with Adirondack chairs.
Matt ordered the Chipotle Wrap (or as they spelled it “Chipolte”) which had chipotle BBQ chicken, cheddar and jack cheeses, tomatoes, peppers, and onions.
On the side, it was served with some really awesome crispy french fries as well as some mixed greens with a slice of tomato that had some dressing on it.
I tried a bite and thought it was very tasty. It was one of the menu items I had originally thought of ordering for myself. Matt enjoyed it.
I had thought about ordering a “redemption” Reuben after the disappointing one I had the previous weekend at Market Street Café. After recalling Matt’s BLT there, I decided to try the one at Mulligan’s.
The bread was nicely toasted, and I too ordered the fries. You can see the crispiness here with the cross section of the BLT in the background.
The shredded lettuce was a little disappointing to look at, but it was crunchy.
I’m glad I went with the BLT. There was a decent amount of crisp bacon on it, just enough mayonnaise, and fresh tomato. The shredded lettuce had a tendency to fall out while eating it, but tasted fine despite its lack of bright green color. We had a nice experience and would definitely eat there again when back in Vero, or at least stop in for drinks and some ocean views!
