After our afternoon at Epcot, and our pre-MK cocktail at Tambu Lounge, we finally made it over to the Magic Kingdom for the 3rd of July fireworks. Before staking out a spot, we grabbed dinner at Columbia Harbour House.
CHH is one of Matt’s favorite places to grab a quick bite, and the food is pretty darn tasty. His favorite item to order is the Anchors Aweigh Sandwich. The sandwich is made with white tuna, lettuce, and tomato on toasted multi-grain bread.
While I’m sure most fans of tuna salad would like this sandwich, I just don’t like canned tuna. I’ve never even tried a taste of this sandwich, so I can’t comment on it myself. When we visit, I often opt for the Fried Fish Basket.
I really am a fan of the fried fish here. It’s light and crispy, and you receive three good-sized strips of fish. While the fries are nothing special, they are still quite tasty.
Some call Columbia Harbour House a hidden gem and it can be. I’ve visited at times where I had to wait in a winding, yet fairly short, queue to order. In fact, I was expecting that on the 3rd. While the CMs had a few guests in each line, they were very efficient, and the food didn’t take very long to arrive. I highly recommend stopping by if you want to get away from burgers and hot dogs.
