Snacks at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Walking around Magic Kingdom recently, we started to get a little hungry, but just wanted something light and quick. Since we were in Tomorrowland, we decided to visit Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. With the holiday season upon us, they’ve started enforcing the seating policy that you must have your food in order to get a table. It wasn’t too busy yet, so we got through the line quickly. I  was able to get some pics of the new menu board, so I’ll be posting those on my Menus page soon. We knew we couldn’t order from Cosmic Ray’s without getting fries to dip in the cheese sauce, so that was a must.

I also figured I’d try their cucumber salad, as I wanted to see if it was any better than the salad at Sci-Fi Dine-In. The cut of the cucumbers was thick as opposed to the thin slices. Personally, I prefer the thin cut as that’s how I make it at home. Much like Sci-Fi, they didn’t have much tartness and were on the sweet side. I can forgive that, as that’s just their recipe. I can’t say the same for the price for this at $2.99, fifty cents more than the fries. We could have had more fries and cheese sauce instead!

Oh well. Unless you try something new, you won’t learn. To end on a happy note:

GRATUITOUS CHEESE PIC!

  1. Oh how I love that cheese! I love cucumbers, but that salad looks a bit… blah.

  2. I love the cucumber salad I make at home, but it’s more vinegar-y than sweet. And I can make a lot of it for under $3!
