Last month, I stopped by Hole in the Wall, the bar between Raglan Road and Cookes of Dublin, and ordered some of Raglan Road’s mussels (which turned out to be a bit underseasoned). Matt and I were walking around Downtown Disney, and it just happened to be Happy Hour (3pm-7pm), where draft beers are offered for $2 less than normal pricing. We decided to stop in and order a round, and also decided to grab a snack while we enjoyed our beers.
We decided on an order of the Garlic Parmesan and Truffle Oil Skinny Chips ($5) from the “Sides” menu. I’ve ordered these as a late night snack from the restaurant in the past, and they were quite good.
This time around was a bit of a different story. The chips had the distinctive truffle oil flavor (more than I can say for the awful Macaroni & Cheese and Truffle Oil Gourmet Hot Dogs). The garlic wasn’t overpowering and there was a nice amount of Parmesan shaved over the top. Despite the cheese, the fries weren’t very salty. I attempted to add some more, but was thwarted by a breezy day. Some of the fries were well-cooked, while others were a bit limp and disappointing. We only ate about half of what we were served.
Overall, the Skinny Chips were fine, and I know they can be better, so this one experience wouldn’t stop me from ordering them again.
If you’ve tried the Skinny Chips, what did you think of them? Did you get a “good” batch, like I’ve had in the past, or a subpar batch, like our recent visit?

But which place were you at? Which place is the one with the chalkboard photo?
YES, I’M GOING. can’t wait
We were at Hole in the Wall (the chalkboard is to the back left of the bar), but it serves the same menu as Raglan Road.
