A beautiful day seemingly requires relaxing next to a pool with a mixed drink in hand. At Animal Kingdom Lodge, my choice place is at Uzima Springs Pool Bar.
If you’re hungry, you can order a Bento Box lunch or dinner delivered right to your chair.
Or, you can skip the food and jump right into a specialty drink, which was exactly my plan.
There is a liquor bar, several bottled and canned beers, and a few drafts.
The Caribbean Limeade sounded fantastic, so I ordered one. It’s a combination of Skyy Infusions Pineapple Vodka, Midori Melon Liqueur, and Simply Limeade. I loved the color of this drink!
The most notable flavors in this drink were the honeydew from the Midori and lime. The pineapple did lend some sweetness, but it was very subtle flavor that faded to the background.
I really enjoyed the Caribbean Limeade. It was refreshing and a nice change of pace from some of the more common fruity mixed drinks. For me, it’s on par with the Harambe Cooler for a top drink pick.
Have you tried the Caribbean Limeade? What did you think of it?

The Pina Colava is my usual poolside go-to at WDW, but I think I’m going to have to venture out and try the Caribbean Limeade next time. Plus, that bento box idea is great! I need to try the falafel one, for sure. Looks like a day trip to AKL is in order for the near future
I’m really enjoying trying all the different cocktails in the parks and resorts! I still have to try the Pina Colava (or the Dawa Colada at Dawa Bar). Someone next to me at Uzima Springs ordered one and it looked pretty good, especially on a hot day!
can you swim too?
Per Disney’s rules, pools themselves are for use only by guests staying at the specific resort.
Wow, that sounds refreshing and it’s such a pretty color! I think the Bento Boxes are a great idea too. Sounds like another spot to add to my ever-growing list! We like to spend time at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but have never been to the Uzima Springs pool bar. Perhaps next time we’ll skip the Victoria Falls Lounge (which has fallen a bit in my estimation over the years) in favor of this place.
When we stayed at AKL last fall, we spent some time at Victoria Falls for an appetizer and some drinks (it wasn’t our first visit there, either
). We also like the Cape Town Lounge and Wine Bar inside Jiko, plus we like to order the appetizers from Jiko there. We also had some beers at Uzima after using the night vision goggles to look out on the savannah. It’s really pretty there at night, and a bit quieter without so many people at the pool. One thing I don’t care for about Victoria Falls is the noise from Boma, although it smells delicious!
The drink looks good but sounds extremely sweet…
I’m not big on sweet drinks and didn’t feel this one was too sweet. The limeade has tartness to it which is nice. Quite good!
