A few months ago, I tried the English Bay Sugar Cookie that replaced the shortbread at UK’s Yorkshire County Fish Shop in Epcot. Many were upset about the change as they enjoyed the shortbread, which were prepackaged by Walkers. I picked up a small package of the Mickey Shortbread Rounds ($1.95). The shortbread can be found in many of the shops and bakeries that sell prepackaged Disney treats on property, and they’re also sold at The Tea Caddy in the UK at Epcot. This 1oz. pack is the smallest size, but they have larger packages as well, including ones with a layer of chocolate. They’re made by Walkers, just like the ones that use to be served at the Fish Shop, so you still can enjoy the flavor.
The 1oz. package contains two shortbread cookies.
Outside of a piece of fruit, this is probably the shortest list of ingredients you’ll find for a snack on property!
The cookies are soft but not chewy, and firm enough to break without much crumbling. They’re not too sweet, and the buttery flavor is what stands out. And who doesn’t love that little bit of Disney magic with Mickey’s smiling face stamped onto them?
Do you ever pick up a pack of the Mickey Shortbread Rounds on your visits to the parks?
