Happy 4th of July, everyone! Where are you celebrating? How much do you love La Cava del Tequila? I know I do, as do all of my friends. Hence why a few of us stopped by recently for a few drinks and, of course, Queso con Jalapeno! It’s so good there! Just enough heat, and it really hits the snacking spot.
I suggested the Blood Orange Margarita to my friend Adam, which he enjoyed as I did on my last visit.
Shalon rocked a Sangria. I got to have a taste and it was pretty tasty, but I’d personally stick with the margaritas here. I love that it’s served in a pint glass!
I ordered the Don Julio Pomegranate Margarita. It had a nice tartness to it, which was perfect for me. Between this one and the Blood Orange, it might be a draw as to which one I like more. Time to go back for a side-by-side taste test!
Let us know you favorite concoction at La Cava de Tequila! Not that I need a reason to go back…

Happy 4th, Sarah! It’s so difficult to choose a favorite La Cava margarita. The pomegranate, blood orange, and cucumber are my favorites, but I’ve seriously loved every one I’ve tried with the exception of the passion fruit.
Avacado (no salt) = YUM!
Happy 4th, Melissa! The Passion Fruit wasn’t too good? That’s a bummer. It sounds like it would be tasty!
Tere – I still need to give that one a try! Though I am a fan of salt with my margs.
I thought the passion fruit was really weird. It had an aftertaste that reminded me of coffee grounds. So strange. I don’t care for passion fruit in the first place, so it probably wasn’t a good choice for me. I ordered it because I figure I have to try them all eventually. Important research, y’know? Danny does like passion fruit, though, and he didn’t like it either.
Now I think the only ones I’ve yet to try are the Midnight Blue (which I’ll probably like) and the frozen coffee margarita (which I’ll endure). Over all, La Cava’s batting average is outstanding.
Yes, their batting average is outstanding! The Midnight Blue is good – I tasted it when my aunt ordered it. I like coffee flavor, but I very rarely drink it (maybe once in the last 3 years?).
This place is still in my to-do list… Always walk by it but the family always prefers to continue exploring instead of stopping and relaxing for a bit… Note to self… next time… next time…
Definitely worth a 15 minute visit! You can always order your drink to go and explore the pavilion, too.
