Snacks from Japan: Kasugai Cheesalt Cheese & Bacon

Our Snack from Japan today is Kasugai Cheesalt Salt & Bacon flavor. Matt and I haven’t tried this variety of snack before, so we were really excited to give it a try. Bonus: it contains the flavors of two of my favorite things!

My guess is that the bacon flavor comes from “flavor”… Oh yeah, and it’s “bekon” flavored.

The package is quite small for $2.99, and this tiny bowl is all it amounts to.

But you know what? They’re mighty tasty. They didn’t last very long. The cheese is the most prominent flavor, but they have a hint of smoky, bacony goodness. They’re light, crisp and crunchy, and truly a great accompaniment to a beer, as denoted by the packaging.

Have you tried Cheesalt snacks? Is there another flavor for which I should keep an eye out?
