Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Kidani Village is a great place to visit to view some wildlife, enjoy a beer, cocktail or wine, and disappear from the hectic rest of the World. While their bar menu mentions a few of their specialty cocktails a draft beer, as well as wine flights, be sure to ask for a full lunch or dinner menu and a wine list. They are much more comprehensive!
Here, you can find non-alcoholic specialties as well as a few additional cocktails not mentioned on the bar menu.
A full wine list is also available.
My visit led me to try the African Starr Mojito. It’s a combination of Starr African Rum, Van der Hum Tangerine Liqueur from South Africa, fresh Mint, and Lime.
I enjoy mojitos although I rarely order them. This seemed like a great opportunity to try one that was a bit different without straying too far from a standard one.
The tangerine liqueur was a welcomed flavor to the drink. It gave it a nice, citrusy sweetness without being overpowering, and balancing out the bold mint.
Stay tuned tomorrow when we’ll check out a few of their appetizers! In the meantime, revisit our last bar and lunch reviews from the restaurant.

The Sanna lounge is one of my favorite watering holes on property. Bartenders Kat and Brandon are outstanding, they’ve got my favorite South African chardonnay (Jardin), and everything on the appetizer menu is delicious. The African Starr mojito is a great refreshment for a hot day. Can’t wait for tomorrow to see what else you guys had!
It was difficult for me to not order the breads this time around and try some new (to me) items! Can’t wait to finish getting the post together!
Since I can’t drink there’s not much I can have but I do have to say I did like the mango lassi. Especially since the day was rather warm. Very refreshing.
I have yet to try the Mango Lassi – I know in the past I’ve seen it at Food & Wine. I liked the Lychee Lemonade at Animal Kingdom’s Sundowner Celebration and the All-Natural Pomegranate Limeade from Landscape of Flavors at Art of Animation – both delicious drinks that contain no alcohol!
Mojitos are always so refreshing! This one sounds really good!
The tangerine was a great additional flavor to a standard mojito. It paired well with the fresh mint. Definitely worth a try if you make it over to Sanaa! Or, you can see if other bars on property can make a standard mojito and perhaps add in an on-hand orange liqueur if they don’t have tangerine. Might be worth a try!
