It’s been a while since visiting Yehaa Bob at Port Orleans’ River Roost. While the menu hasn’t changed since our last visit, we did have the opportunity to try something new to us. We sampled the Bourbon Barbecue Shrimp which is served on top of a slice of Grilled Grit Cake.
The barbecue sauce was definitely more on the sweet side rather than smoky. The shrimp were a bit overcooked, but the texture wasn’t affected too much. The grit cake was decent, especially with the barbecue sauce, but I think some cornbread would have been a nice addition as well.
And of course, there was entertainment! Yehaa Bob’s fans waved the table candles and glow cubes with the music.
Be sure to check out our review on the Chicken and Andouille Gumbo and Prime Rib Sliders! If you have the opportunity, visit Port Orleans to enjoy one of Yehaa Bob‘s shows, too!

Although we’ve stayed at Port Orleans (usually the French Quarter side) more than we have at all other WDW resorts combined, we’ve yet to see Yeeha Bob. I hope we’ll get a chance to do that on our next visit. We’re planning on having dinner at Boatwright’s, and I think a couple drinks and possibly a late-night snack at River Roost after would be a good nightcap. Not sure about those shrimp, though. Sweet barbecue sauce isn’t my favorite. Pretty much everything else on the menu sounds more appealing to me.
Someone else in my party had ordered the shrimp and I got to try them. The nachos, in my experience, are pretty awful and I haven’t tried the wings. I can’t imaging they’re anything special. The crawfish tails are decent, but a lot of breading.
