Last month, the Disney Parks Blog posted about fun summer treats coming to the Disney parks. The vibrant character apples really stood out, so I was happy to finally spot them with my own eyes at Goofy’s Candy Company at Downtown Disney! Although I didn’t pick one up (they ring in at $9.99), I snapped some pics to share with you.
Here are Lightning McQueen from Cars, and Sully and Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc.
They were also serving up Goofy and Cheshire Cat. The one on the far right is a Mickey shaped Apple Pie flavor.
I’m still on the lookout for Kermit, and would LOVE to see more Muppet inspired designs, too! Did you notice on the Disney Parks Blog post those neat Mickey Ears Shaped Brownies? We tried the Toffee version, so be sure to check out our review!
Which characters would you like to see arrive?

Reading through some older posts and don’t know how I missed this one Sarah! LOL. (Well actually considering the date I have an idea why I missed it
) I’ve never had the candy/caramel apples before since (1) hard to eat and (2) too much for one person. However, this time one of my best friends will be with me and she loves the stuff. Just one question, does Disney still cut the apple for you? Oh and a second question, where do you think the best ones (taste wise) are?
I’ve never had the candy/caramel apples myself, either. To me they’re ruining a perfectly good apple! As far as I know, they will still cut the apple for you to make it easier to eat. I would think the locations that make them to order will likely be the best as you can see it being made, like Candy Cauldron and Goofy’s Candy Company. Then you can also order your favorite combination of sweets instead of selecting a premade one.
Hmmm, that’s a good idea. I was inclined to do the caramel store in Epcot but if we have it made would probably be better. It’ll be interesting to share since she prefers white chocolate and I prefer dark. LOL. I agree with you on the apple thing though. The most I ever eat with an apple is either a good sharp cheese (or homemade fondue) or peanut butter.
Yes – I love a Granny Smith apple with some extra sharp cheddar!
