Like savory snacks under the brand of Chip & Dale Snack Company and sugary candy under Goofy’s Candy Co., Minnie’s Bake Shop offers an assortment of cookies. We tried out her Character Cookies a few weeks ago and found them pretty tasty. Being a fan of graham cookies and snacks as a kid (I’m looking at you, Teddy Grahams and Dunkaroos!), I thought it might be a nostalgic trip to sample Minnie’s variety.
The cookies are in the shapes of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Donald. I wonder how many people second guess themselves thinking Pluto is the duck and Donald is the dog when lining up the names with the characters. Seriously, one of my favorite pastimes is not just people-watching in the parks, but people-listening.
At $4.99 for 7oz., the Family Size package is a decent deal (by WDW standards). The resealable package makes it great to keep the cookies fresh in your backpack for some quick energy when hunger strikes while waiting in line.
I don’t know if it was just the package I got, but opening it was like trying to break into Fort Knox. Tearing the top went fine, but trying to get through that resealable zipper had me struggling. I had to use scissors to cut down as close as I could to it. Matt was having good laugh over my apparent ineptitude of package-opening. I was at home in A/C – I can’t imagine if I was out in the heat trying to get a good grip on the package! Needless to say, I wouldn’t be too worried about the bag popping open in your backpack. Two days later and it still doesn’t want to cooperate!
The ingredients feature four sweeteners: Sugar, HFCS, Honey and Molasses. Despite all of these, they don’t taste incredibly sweet and the honey flavor is noticeable.
The cookies have lighter, crispier texture than I remember those previously mentioned ones from my childhood had, which were more dense. I also recall them having a bit of a shine on the surface, where these do not. I liked the just-enough sweetness and subtle honey flavor that these had. I think a package of these along with a Family Size bag of Cheddar Mickey Crackers will be adorning my room the next time I stay on property.
Have you tried the Graham Cookies from Minnie’s Bake Shop? If you have kids, is this something they like to snack on?

Getting our parents to buy Dunkaroos was the supermarket holy grail of my childhood! Ahh memories!
I know! Those were always a special treat in my house too. There were times where we would improvise with graham cookies and canned icing!
I haven’t tried these yet but one thing I have to have when I got to the resort are the big raspberry/white chocolate cookies also from Minnie’s Bake Shop. These are the ones that are individually packaged. There is something I really like about its flavor… Last year I came back home with around 20 of them!!
20?! Sounds like I might have to pick one of those up to try sometime myself!
