As a person who enjoys savory, preferably freshly popped popcorn, I’ve been passing by the prepackaged flavored popcorn that has been sold around property for quite some time now. Since we tend to like Cookies & Cream flavored items around here, I thought that would be a good option to try.

Opening the bag, I definitely could smell the Oreos. I poured a small bowl to sample the popcorn.
I could taste the Oreo flavors on the popcorn, but the popcorn itself was soft and chewy. It didn’t have any crunch to it, which was texturally displeasing. It tasted stale, and I had just opened the bag.
At $6.95 for 8oz., I felt like I had thrown my money away. And Pluto lied to me. I should have known better to trust a dog. I’ve seen what they’ll eat.
Please tell me you’ve had better experiences with these flavored popcorn varieties and that I just got a bad bag! What’s your favorite flavor?
Love comment about not trusting a dog for food recommendations! I tried the confetti popcorn a few months ago and wasn’t impressed. I didn’t think they were very flavorful. I’m sticking with Disney’s regular popcorn; it’s always good!

I’ve never been big on sweet popcorn either. I have tried some variety of these prepackaged flavored popcorn – someone else bought it and I was just trying – and did not like it.
We got a popcorn gift basket from friends early this year. I think it was from the Popcorn Factory… and it had this chocolate covered popcorn. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it. The chocolate was not too sweet and probably because of the chocolate covering, the popcorn still had some crunch.
Other than this one, I’ll stick with some freshly popped with just a hint of salt.
The biggest problem for me was it texture; it seemed stale based on how it just collapsed when I bit down. I don’t even remember Cracker Jack being like that, or the Werther’s Caramel Popcorn at Karamelle-Küche in Epcot’s Germany, which both retained some crunch. Perhaps this bag was just getting too close to the end of its shelf life.
I got a bag of this in March on the way out of DHS and I loved it! It didn’t taste stale at all. Maybe you got a bad batch…
I’m hoping I just got a bad batch. Some of the popcorn toward the bottom of the bag had a bit of crunch, but it wasn’t consistent. I did like the overall flavor though – I can’t stay mad at cookies & cream!
