Cheshire Cafe’s Raspberry Lemonade Slush

Looking for a portable, frozen, not-messy-if-it-melts refreshing treat while in the Magic Kingdom? Then I suggest stopping by Cheshire Cafe in Fantasyland, tucked away in between Cosmic Ray’s and Mad Tea Party. Here, you’ll find a Raspberry Lemonade Slush.

It’s been around a while, but I was in need of something icy and a little bit tart the other day. Unlike the Liberty Swirl Slush at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, this one doesn’t feel like it’s rotting your teeth while drinking it.

The raspberry adds a little bit more to what would be a pretty basic frozen lemonade without it. As much as I would love this as a basic lemonade, it’s that fruity kick that gives this drink the upper hand in my book!

Do you ever stop by Cheshire Cafe (or did you stop in when it was Enchanted Grove) for one of their slushes?

  1. Did you ever try the “Tinkerbell Twist” which preceeded the Liberty Swirl Slush? It was a mix of green apple and something else….it was SO GOOD!! I used to always get it with a funnel cake before fireworks. You would not believe my dissapointment (and all my siblings’) when we went and it was replaced with that horrible Liberty Swirl Slush. Sigh…bring it back!

I am going to try this next time to see how it fares as a replacement.

  2. That slush looks good! Not an adequate replacement for the Strawberry Swirl, but good nevertheless.

  3. Beth – I never tried the Tinkerbell Twist. It does sound better than the sugary mess they have now!

Melissa – Strawberry sounds good too, but I like the tartness of raspberry so it doesn’t get too sweet. I’d take either though!

  4. I really need to start trying new things in the MK. I’ve never ever stopped at the Cheshire Cafe (even when it was under it’s old name). In all my trips to Disney, I think the only place I’ve ever tried in FL is Pinocchio’s!

  5. Fran – Yes, you do need to start trying some new places! Although, Pinocchio’s Village Haus recently added some really tasty flatbreads to replace the pizza they had there. :)

  6. Haven’t had it yet but this year we’ll be spending a little more time at MK so I think my DD13 will want to try it. She loves the lemonade ones they sell all over (the slushy kind). That apple one sounded good. Too bad it’s now gone. Good to know about the Liberty Swirl. I’m not a fan of overly sweet and DD likes things sour.

  7. I know I’ve walked by this area a thousand times but I don’t remember seeing the place… or at least their menu… Probably because when I’m walking in that area, I’m on my way to Tomorrowland, and my mind is too focused on Space Mountain… LOL! But good to know it is there… Do you have a picture of the building it’s in?

  8. I thought I had a photo but I don’t. The building is small and a simple walk-up counter with two windows from which you can order. You can see it on Google Maps, just west of the Cosmic Ray’s building section that houses Sonny Eclipse.

  9. I was googling and did find several pictures of the place and I do remember now… but I did find this very interesting picture…

    thought I would share…

  10. What a fun pic! Thank you for sharing it!
