The Doofenslurper

For those of you who have been reading the blog for a while, you probably know that I’m a sucker for gimmicky snacks, and once again, I’ve bought into one! The Fife and Drum Tavern outside of the American Adventure in Epcot is serving up The Doofenslurper, a beverage served in a plastic beaker featuring the ever-diabolical Dr. Doofenshmirtz from the Disney Channel cartoon Phineas and Ferb. We sampled the Perry Sugar Cookie Pop a while back, along with a themed slice of cake that was offered as well. We also tweeted a picture of Agent P’s Power Pack back when it first made its debut, but due to its popularity, it was sold out when I tried to order it.

The Doofenslurper features their standard frozen blue raspberry slush and is topped with a passion fruit sorbet foam. I didn’t find either element overly sweet, where I have in the past with the Liberty Swirl Slush from Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in the Magic Kingdom.

Gimmicky? Check. Fun? Double check. Order it again? Not at $9.50 unless I need another Doof beaker. It’s fun for the novelty, much like the tankard and chalice for LeFou’s Brew at Gaston’s Tavern in New Fantasyland. I’ll definitely be using this at home out of sheer geekiness!

Have you ordered your Doofenslurper yet?

  2. Isn’t it such a fun idea? Love Phineas & Ferb!

  3. It doesn’t even matter that I hate passion fruit. I too am a fan of gimmicky snack items and will order this just because I too would like to take over the Tri-State Area.
