Sunshine Seasons To Go: Vegetarian Entree

Sunshine Seasons in Epcot’s The Land serves up Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, as well as items that are prepackaged and ready to go. One of the great values I recently enjoyed was their Vegetarian Entrée for $6.19.

The entrée includes pita wedges, couscous, tabbouleh, hummus, and a roasted red pepper puree.

The couscous wasn’t quite on par with the version served at Tangierine Café in the park’s Morocco pavilion, but was decent on its own and had both raisins and sliced almonds for a bit of crunch.

The tabbouleh had a bit more grain to it than Tangierine’s as well, but the parsley flavor was bright and there was a light vinegar dressing (typically the salad uses lemons for acid, but that didn’t seem the case here). It fortunately stuck to the salad instead of forming in a pool below.

The hummus was smooth and had a strong pop of lemon, perhaps a tad bit too much as I wasn’t expecting it, but after the initial surprise, it wasn’t as aggressive.

The roasted red pepper puree was slightly sweet and a nice compliment to the hummus for a little bit of a change in flavor profiles.

As for the pita, it’s clearly prepackaged, but was soft and served its purpose.

I’d certainly pick this up again, as it’s a great value based on the price and amount of food. There’s definitely enough for two to share as a lighter snack while at the pavilion exploring the attractions within.

  1. I have not tried it but it does look good!

  2. Haven’t tried this one yet, it looks awesome!

I just had their “Vegan Orange Chicken” at Sunshine Seasons a few weeks back though – it was awesomely delicious. Very happy to have multiple choices all at one quick service restaurant. My husband had the veggie sushi there – also great!

  3. Ricardo – If you’re a fan of the items served, it’s worth a try! I know I’ll be back again for it. Hopefully they don’t up the price!

Jasmine – I do like non-vegan orange chicken, but Gardein’s chicken can get a wonky texture if not prepared well. Do you know if they prepared it somewhat to order, or was it premixed and held in a warmer? Sounds like it could be worth a try though!

  4. I love this dish from Sunshine Seasons! It’s one of my favorite quick bites to grab. The couscous with the cranberries is very fresh and springlike!

  5. Christina – It’s also nice that it’s prepackaged to go since I was running around the park solo and needed to bring some home. Matt got to try some too and he enjoyed it!

  6. That looks like the same thing I had at Food and Wine in the festival headquarters-it was really good!

  7. Steph – That’s great! Have you tried Tangierine Cafe’s versions too? I highly recommend if you haven’t! :)
