Pina Colada Cupcake

We kicked off the week with a beer infused cupcake, so let’s top it off with one enhanced with a little rum! I picked up this Pina Colada Cupcake at Gasparilla Island Grill.

The vanilla cupcake is topped with buttercream and pina coloda-y frosting and coconut.

This is one of Disney’s filled cupcakes, which here had crushed pineapple on the inside.

A look at the ingredients:

This particular cupcake was pretty tasty. If you like Pina Coladas (shhhhhhhhh!!!), then you will probably enjoy this one. The cake is moist, and the pineapple and coconut flavors are certainly prevalent. It is a bit on the sweet side, much like its namesake beverage. Alongside a S’mores Cupcake and German Chocolate Cupcake being sold in the same cooler, this one certainly has a run for its money. I’ll be giving the other two a try before ordering this one again, so may the best cupcake win!

Have you tried one of Disney’s Pina Colada Cupcakes? Tell us how it was!

  2. Always gotta keep an eye out on those cupcakes! You never know how long they’ll last!

  3. oh thank god a cupcake with filling! perhaps they are not slowly going extinct after all!

  4. Maybe the ones that aren’t “seasonal” get the filling? We’ll have to stay on watch! :)
