Epcot’s Holidays Around the World: The American Adventure’s Gingerbread Cookie

If there’s one person in our house that seriously enjoys the holiday season, it’s Matt. I think it has as much to do with the food as it does presents. ;) While checking out the Holidays Around the World options, he decided on the spur of the moment to get a Gingerbread Cookie from The American Adventure’s Sugar and Spice Holiday Bakery stand.

Other options for sweets available include a Ch0colate-Chunk Cookie, Sugar Cookie, and Peppermint Bark.

The cookie doesn’t look like much for the price tag (in fact, none of the cookies look like they warrant the $4+ prices), so we were anticipating some really great flavor. Unfortunately, it really fell flat. The gingerbread flavor was so minor, it seemed barely existent.  Matt was very disappointed.

The texture was decent, though, and fairly soft with a slight chew, but not enough to compensate for the lack of flavor.

It’s certainly not something we’d order again. Later that day, we toured the Epcot Resorts’ gingerbread displays, and BoardWalk Inn’s free samples at their Sweet Treats display offered much more flavor. If you do in fact give one of these Gingerbread Cookies a try, I hope you get a bolder-tasting batch!

  1. I agree. The flavor was just not there… I was truly disappointed as I love gingerbread cookies.

  2. That stinks! Matt literally made a sad face after his first bite. I’ve never seen someone so sad to eat a cookie! :(
