The Artist’s Palette’s Cheeseburger Flatbread

It had been a while since I stopped by Saratoga Springs, and my last visit to their quick service restaurant, The Artist’s Palette, was for breakfast. There, I enjoyed a funky-looking but tasty Breakfast Flatbread. I decided to stop in for lunch, as there was a Lobster Club Sandwich that sounded interesting, despite my fears of lobster salad preparation on property. Once I arrived, however, I saw a Cheeseburger Flatbread on the menu.

Snacks from Japan: Kasugai Ramune Flavor Gummy Candy

Our “Snacks from…” series treats you to different snacks found in the World Showcase pavilions at Epcot. Find more reviews here! Continuing our series, we head to Mitsukoshi in Epcot’s Japan pavilion!

Here at Eating WDW, we’re big fans of Ramune soda. While we enjoy many of the flavors available, you just can’t go wrong with the “original” flavor. Kasugai created a variety of gummy candy which we love, so combining the classic flavor of ramune in a candy gummy was right up our alley.

Boulangerie Patisserie’s Mousse au Chocolat

Matt has been on a little bit of a sweet kick lately, which is great because I can sample dessert items for review here on the blog and not have to worry about eating it all myself! We were recently walking toward France at Epcot, and Matt decided he wanted to stop by Boulangerie Patisserie for something sweet. We got in line and waited as he looked at all the options, but finally decided on the Mousse au Chocolat.

The chocolate mousse is topped with tiny bits of dark chocolate and the crunchy, spherical sprinkles that have become a popular dessert topping at WDW the past year or so.

Old Port Royale’s Jerk Chicken Sandwich

Old Port Royale at Caribbean Beach Resort is a quick service location with several stations from which you can choose. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and while their menu options are relatively standard to what you’ll find across WDW property, some items are served with a Caribbean flare. Of the stations, you’ll find Montego’s Deli, Bridgetown Broiler (which was closed until dinner), Old Port Royale Hamburger Shop and Royale Pizza and Pasta Shop.

After some studying of the menus, I headed to the Hamburger Shop and ordered the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich is topped with Crispy Onions, Chipotle Sauce, Swiss and is served with a choice of Pasta Salad or French Fries. The default option here is fries, and I wasn’t offered a choice and neglected to request the pasta salad when I ordered.

Chocolate and Caramel Covered Grapes. Ask Adam and Andrew of Disney Hipsters what they think of the snack and you will get two very different views on the treat. I had to try them for myself, though, so I headed over to Karamell-Küche in Epcot’s Germany pavilion to pick up a skewer.
