Disney’s Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade

Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade can be found at numerous locations on WDW property. They run around $4, and you can find them in some of the parks with the addition of alcohol. Matt happened to order this one from Columbia Harbour House. Having tried a Frozen Bacardi Raspberry Rum Lemonade from Dino Diner in Animal Kingdom before, I knew what he was about to drink.

Disney Parks Blog recently announced a few specialty desserts that would be available to Celebrate Earth Week as one of their Limited Time Magic surprises. They are available today, April 22, through the 28th, however, Studios Catering Co. at Hollywood Studios were selling the desserts yesterday.

According to the Disney Parks Blog: “The chocolate Worms & Dirt cupcake topped with a teensy flower pot and gummy worms is on the menu at ABC Commissary, Pizza Planet, Backlot Express, Studio Catering Co. and Starring Rolls Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Kusafari Coffee Shop and Bakery and the espresso and coffee cart at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.”

The cupcake I received was a bit different than the picture, without a white chocolate Mickey glove and only one gummy worm.

Catalina Eddie’s Hot Italian Deli Sandwich

Catalina Eddie’s at Hollywood Studios serves up the standard Disney pizzas and salad, but also a Hot Italian Deli Sandwich. Located in a cluster of counter service restaurants on Sunset Boulevard, near Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, I’ve often avoided this area for dining. Primary reasons for this are the lack of interesting food options and all seating is outdoors. Some structures provide shade, but when the temperature and humidity climbs, it can still be an unpleasant experience.

Since the weather is pleasant in Central Florida right now, I figured it would be a good time to visit. Since I’m not a fan of the pizza being served at the restaurant, I knew I would have to try the Hot Italian Deli Sandwich. It features turkey, ham, provolone and Swiss cheeses, tomatoes and pesto. It can be ordered with a side Caesar Salad or a bag of potato chips. I opted for the bag of chips so that I could bring them home.
