Riverside Mill: Muffuletta

We’ve had a few items from Riverside Mill at Port Orleans Riverside in the past. Often it’s been for something to snack on while seeing Yehaa Bob at River Roost. I’ve stopped in to try their Chipotle-Barbecue Cheeseburger as well, but I wanted to try a New Orleans specialty, the Muffulleta.

I’m a huge fan of Italian subs, so this sandwich takes some of the best elements and turns them into something a little bit different. The bread used is similar to focaccia, which I enjoy for its texture. A spread of olive salad is applied to the bread, and then is topped with (typically) Italian meats and cheeses. This particular version features salami, capicola, ham and provolone.

Riverside Mill: Warm Individual Apple Pie

Sometimes you just need a warm dessert to cap off a meal. Or maybe you just want apple pie! Riverside Mill at Port Orleans Riverside offers that, apart from other sweets from the bakery (you can see the menus here and here). If you find yourself at the resort, their Warm Individual Apple Pie ($3.59) is worth a look.

Riverside Mill: Chipotle-Barbecue Cheeseburger

A couple weeks ago, I stopped by Pecos Bill’s and had a rather disappointing burger. That experience made me a bit wary of ordering a burger again any time soon. However, an interesting sounding one on the Grill Shop menu at Riverside Mill at Port Orleans Riverside was enough to change my mind. I had to give the Chipotle-Barbecue Cheeseburger ($9.29) a try.

Riverside Mill: Last Minute Food for Watching Yehaa Bob

Yehaa Bob performs (typically) Wednesday through Saturday at River Roost located at Port Orleans Riverside (be sure to check out his website for his schedule!). Matt and I are no strangers to Bob; he has a penchant for names, and when he recognizes you, he’ll call you out! Trust me. :)

The first night of our trip, we popped in to visit Bob about 10 minutes before 10pm. Despite having been eating around World Showcase, we wanted to order something to snack on during the show. Unfortunately, we were informed River Roost’s kitchen had already shut down for the night. No nachos, buffalo chicken nuggets, or crawfish tails for us. Matt thought on his feet and went over to Riverside Mill to pick us up some food from their pizza window and returned with one of their (awful to me) cheese pizzas for himself and an order of their breadsticks for me.
