Happy New Year! Enjoy a Rose & Crown Bloody Mary

Happy New Year!

Kick off 2013 right with this Bloody Mary from the Rose & Crown Pub in Epcot’s U.K. Pavilion!

Matt ordered this darn tasty, favorite cocktail, where he asked for it extra spicy. It was mixed up with a healthy dose of Tabasco and H.P. Sauce. No matter how manly you may be, you might want to drink this with a straw to keep from getting a mustache from it! And, depending on the bartender, your spiciness mileage may vary. This one had some lingering burn to it!

It’s a perfect wake me up cocktail, and they make them well at Rose & Crown. Have you grabbed one on your visits to the pub? Do you stick to the beers or cocktails instead? Let us know your favorite drinks there!

Yorkshire County Fish Shop: Side of Chips

Walking around World Showcase in Epcot, do you ever need hot quick, hot snack to tide you over until your next meal? I enjoy stopping by the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the U.K. Pavilion (especially when I spot a short line!) for a side of chips. Much heartier and tastier than your average Disney fry, they’re a delicious and portable snack for strolling through the pavilion and perhaps taking in a show of  the World Showcase Players or British Revolution.

While the side of chips may not be on the menu, it can be ordered for around $2.99. While the tray might not appear to have too much in it, the chips are thicker than the Disney standard and there are several layers stacked filling up the dish.

Yorkshire County Fish Shop: English Bay Sugar Cookie

Over the weekend, Matt and I headed out to Epcot to check out the start of Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival. I’m always checking out menus (I’m due for some heavy-duty menu picture trips!), and Yorkshire County Fish Shop’s in the U.K. pavilion caught my eye. No longer do they sell Shortbread; it’s been replaced by the English Bay Sugar Cookie. You can check out the menu from last July here.
