Fall Food and Pumpkin-Flavored Treats at Disneyland

Apart from all of the sweet items popping up at Disneyland Resort, some fall and Halloween-inspired savory items are making their way into the restaurants as well! The Disney Parks Blog reports some really delicious sounding dishes around property.

At Grand Californian Hotel, Storytellers Cafe is serving Zinfandel Spaghetti with roasted golden beets, pine nuts, and golden raisins. Visit Cafe Orleans in Disneyland for their Braised Short Ribs, served with purple mashed potatoes, sauteed baby carrots, red wine mushroom sauce, and fried shoestring onions.  Blue Bayou is serving up Creole-brined, bone-in pork chop with roasted garlic Boursin mashed potatoes, sautéed baby spinach, Champagne pear coulis, and tomato relish.

Then head to Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port for their Mac & Cheese pizza – a pizza crust made with mac & cheese topped with mozzarella and Romano cheeses and seasoned bread crumbs.

If you find yourself at California Adventure, you can order a Burger or Grilled Chicken at Taste Pilots’ Grill, where the dish comes topped with a “cobweb” of Swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms. Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta is serving Anti-Vampire Chicken Pizza, featuring roasted garlic sauce, marinated chicken, smoked Gouda, roasted red peppers, and a tomato-spicy harissa drizzle.

Of course, after enjoying all these savory dishes, you need to finish off with dessert! Disney Insider recommends a Pumpkin Food Crawl! While not noted as to where to find these treats in the article, perhaps it could make for a fun and delicious scavenger hunt! Here is what you can find on your expedition (I’ve noted locations to find some of the items):

  1. While I do think the whole pumpkin insanity is . . .well . . . insane, I’d be curious about the pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin muffin or pumpkin cupcake, and of course the pumpkin pie. It’s a perfect size since no one I know of wants to help me finish the pumpkin pie after I’ve had a slice or two. 😀
