Christmas is just two weeks away, and the Disney Parks Blog is sharing some ideas for treats around WDW to make your holiday a little extra special. Let’s take a look at what you can find at the resorts!
Over at Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can visit the Jambo House lobby to decorate gingerbread cookies. A $5.00 donation is suggested, and the proceeds go to Disney Worldwide Conservation Fun. There’s also a holiday treat table where you can purchase peppermint bark, chocolate and pistachio crackle cookies, gingerbread cookie animals, butternut crunch bark, coconut cream cupcakes, and house-made chocolate hazelnut spread. There is also African hot chocolate made with Ghanaian milk and Tanzanian dark chocolates, and topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles
Outside the main entrance to the Grand Floridian’s lobby, chestnuts are roasting on an open fire from noon until 6 p.m. The Garden View Tea Room is serving holiday-inspired tea blends, gingerbread scones, apple butter, and cranberry trifles. At Gasparilla Island Grill, you’ll find a seasonal holiday turkey sandwich featuring stuffing and cranberry. If you miss out on Gasparilla’s version you can always head to Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney to enjoy theirs year-round!
At the BoardWalk Inn, stop by BoardWalk Bakery for a specialty chocolate-peppermint cheesecake cupcake that is decorated to look like a Christmas Tree.
Those visiting Hollywood Studios might want to try the specialty gingerbread cupcake. Specialty cocktails, such as the Gumdrop (Stoli Razberi vodka, Chambord, Sprite, pineapple, and cranberry juices, garnished with candy gumdrops), the Winter Berry and Torched Holiday Cider, and the Very Merry Cherry, can be found throughout the park. Pizza Planet is serving up The Claw, which features Sauza Gold Tequila, Disaronno, triple sec, sweet-and-sour, and a souvenir glow cube. Catalina Eddie’s is serving Very Berry Lemonade, while ABC Commissary has the Holiday Delight, featuring Bacardi Razz rum, blue curacao, orange juice, a splash of Sprite, and a souvenir glow cube.
We tried the Gingerbread Cupcake in 2013. See the review here!
