Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar to Open this Fall at Disney Springs

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, an aviation-themed lounge, is slated to open this fall at Disney Springs, according to the Disney Parks Blog. It will be located in between the expanding Paradiso 37 and newcomer The BOATHOUSE. The bar will be owned and operated by Disney Food & Beverage, and construction has been underway.

The location will seat 150 and feature cocktails, like the “Hovito Mojito” featurin Barsol Quebranta Pisco, fresh lime juice and simple syrup,  and small plates like the “Air Pirates Everything Pretzels” featuring house-made mustard and beer cheese fondue and “Rolling Boulder Meatballs.” Design elements include propeller-based ceiling fans and diving bell “booth” and help to further the storyline.

And who is Jock Lindsey? He’s Indy’s frequent pilot, who has a pet snake named Reggie. The main room will have an expansive bar, aviation decor, vintage travel posters and correspondence between Jock, Indy, and fellow adventurers. Outside, Jock’s old steamboat, “Reggie,” is in a permanent dry dock for guest seating, and an adjacent deck will feature additional seating.

We are really excited for this one!

  1. How fun. Great blog. Seems like it’s shrinking though – text and photos with less margins. 😦

  2. I’m not sure what you mean by less margins – the layout has been the same since the blog was created in 2011.
